本文的主要目的是对脸谱识别的研究现状作一概要的介绍。计算机脸谱识别具有较广泛的应用意义,诸如在证件检验、监视等方面。由于应用的场合及要求处理的复杂度不同,给实际应用带来了一定的限制。但也对若干门学科提出了新的技术挑战。在过去20年中,在心里学、神经科学、工程学、图像处理及分析、计算机视觉等方面发表了大量的关于人类和机器脸谱识别的文章。在过去5年中,这项研究被重新重视起来。目前虽已存在一些已在不同的图象集合和复杂程度上被检验的技术和系统,但仍没有一项是在商业及法律实施要求的图象质量下,经过大型数据库检验的有价值和水准的研究。 在本文中,我们首先简要的介绍一下计算机脸谱识别在各方面的应用,然后对目前在此方面的研究情况作一较详细介绍。其中如:脸部的定位及分割技术、特征提取和识别技术等。另外对总体变换和基于特征的利用统计、结构、神经分类器等方法作了总结,同时也将利用脸部轮廓和距离图象(Range Image)的进行识别的方法作了简要的说明。利用在复杂场景中所得的电视图象进行识别是最具有挑战性的研究课题,在这里我们概略的介绍了几项已有的,可能用在此方面的技术。最后是小结。
