本文给出从圆波导中TE11横电模到小张角圆波纹喇叭中HE11混合模的横变换的理论和实验研究。模变换通过一节过渡段实现,该过渡段的槽或者是环加载的,或者是变深度的普通槽。利用变深度槽,其最佳设计在1.45带宽比范围给出超过30dB的反射损耗,频率下限取决于反射增大的程度,上限受有害的EH12混合模超电平激励的限制。利用环加载槽,带宽比可达到1.55,如果允许产生少量(其量级低于变深度槽的情况)的EH12模,则带宽比至少可增加到2.0。
