一种毫米波频段低剖面双极化天线

摘要:

针对毫米波通信天线小型化、大带宽和高增益的迫切需求,提出了一种低剖面双极化天线。该双极化天线通过在基于基片集成波导(Substrate Integrated Waveguide, SIW)的H面喇叭天线表面集成基于微带缝隙的Vivaldi天线实现双极化辐射性能。其中,H面喇叭天线辐射垂直极化电磁波,Vivaldi天线辐射水平极化电磁波。为了改善阻抗匹配性能,同时提升天线方向性,SIW喇叭天线口面加载了介质透镜。测试结果表明,所设计的双极化天线在21~25.5 GHz回波损耗优于10 dB,2个输入端口间的隔离度高于29 dB。在工作频段内,天线垂直极化的最大增益为5.2 dBi,水平极化的最大增益为8.2 dBi。天线的整体尺寸为40 mm×16 mm×2.8 mm。

Abstract:

A low-profile dual-polarized antenna is proposed to satisfy the urgent requirements of miniaturization, wideband, and high gain antennas for modern millimeter-wave communications. The proposed antenna achieves dual-polarized performance by integrating a microstrip slot based Vivaldi antenna with a Substrate Integrated Waveguide(SIW) based H-plane horn antenna. The H-plane horn antenna radiates vertically polarized electromagnetic waves and the Vivaldi antenna radiates horizontally polarized electromagnetic waves. To enhance the impedance matching and directivity performance of the antenna, a dielectric lens is introduced across the aperture of the SIW horn antenna. The measured results demonstrate that the return loss of the proposed antenna is better than 10 dB from 21 GHz to 25.5 GHz and the isolation between the two input ports is higher than 29 dB. The antenna obtains maximum gains of 5.2 dBi and 8.2 dBi, respectively, for vertical polarization and horizontal polarization. The overall antenna size is 40 mm×16 mm×2.8 mm.
